Services

I visit your home to care for your cat/s while you are away. This is much less stressful for them than a stay in a cattery as cats are highly territorial animals who are very attached to their home environment



My visits last for at least half an hour

So after I've cleaned bowls, served food and water and sorted out litter trays I then have plenty of time left over to give your cat some cuddles and play time. No two cats are the same and I make sure that each cat is cared for according to his or her individual needs. Please note: I do not make visits on alternate days as this would be very bad welfare practice, and I prioritise the welfare of your cat/s at all times.



Visiting Hours

I make most of my visits between 7am and 2pm, and usually carry out one visit per day - I can only take on a limited number of late afternoon/evening bookings, and so need to restrict these to cats who are on twice daily medication.


Updates

We all miss our cats while we're away and I'm happy to send daily texts/WhatsApps/emails to let you know your cats are OK.



Veterinary Care

If your cat is injured or becomes ill while you're away, I'll take them to their regular vets. As I don't drive, I ask that any cab fares be reimbursed. I don't charge for my time when dealing with emergencies, but if follow-up appointments are needed I charge £15 per hour of time taken up with vet appointments and travel.


I can usually take cats with pre-existing conditions for routine vet appointments, but please check when you make your booking as I may not be able to do this during busy periods. For this service I charge £15 per hour of my time taken up with vet appointments and travel and also ask that cab fares are reimbursed. I'm not able to take cats for their vaccination boosters.


Please note: I cannot take cats to either the PDSA or the Celia Hammond clinic.



Household

I open and close curtains as requested, remove post from view, replace wheelie bins after refuse collection and water houseplants. Gardens can be cared for too, but may incur an extra charge depending on size and amount of watering required.


Security

I ask that you leave a spare set of keys with a designated key holder. My primary concern is always for your cat's welfare, so if I'm unable to gain access to the property due to faulty locks or keys, and am unable to contact the key holder, a locksmith will be called.


A pre-specified alarm engineer will be called if there are any problems with your burglar alarm.


Please note: any charges made by 3rd parties to rectify problems with keys, locks or alarms are the responsibility of the customer.
